From Sunday 8th August our two congregations are coming together! There will be no 9.30am service or 11am service but a new 10am service, lasting no longer than 1¼ hours and followed by plenty of time for refreshments and fellowship.
"This change has not been a sudden decision but has grown out of our LYCiG discussions and much prayer. The new service will include elements of both of the previous ones and being together will allow us to strengthen each other in worship, discipleship, mission and prayer, bringing together our spiritual gifts and resources with a purposeful desire to reach our community, friends and family with the good news of Jesus."
Unchanged since 1662, this is a chance to proclaim the faith in 17th Century English, following the Book of Common Prayer.
In months with a 5th Sunday, St. Martin's and the two St. John's join together to worship in a liturgical Service of the Word. Check with the vicar to find out which church we'll be at.
